PREP FOR COLOR

COMMERCIAL PREP REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Send hard drive or trimmed camera originals via web (max 25-frame handles). You can trim/transcode in Resolve — Trim guide
  2. XML or AAF.
  3. Offline reference matching the XML (with source clip name + timecode burn-ins).
  4. VFX deliveries:
    • Naming example: sh010_v001 (shot name + version)
    • If there are mattes (screen comps, transitions, etc.), include them in the same folder as the shot
    • Deliver VFX in native camera color space as ProRes 4444 XQ or ACEScg (linear) EXR sequences (AP0, DWAA compression)
  5. Grading in DaVinci Resolve Studio 20.3. If available, please provide a .drt or .drp.
  6. If Cinematographer used a custom LUT on set, please provide it.

MUSIC VIDEO PREP REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Export pre-conformed sequence as .mov – ProRes 4444 XQ in camera color space and delivery resolution. Any fade-in/out shots should be sent separately. Upload via web-cloud services.

FEATURE FILM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Split film into 5–6 reels. Reel 1 starts at 01:00:00:00, Reel 2 at 02:00:00:00. Maximum duration per reel: 30 minutes.
  2. Provide XML or AAF per reel. Include offline reference matching the timeline (source clip names + timecode burn-ins).
  3. Send full camera originals on hard drive or trimmed media (max 25-frame handles). Media can be trimmed/transcoded in Resolve — Trim guide.
  4. VFX deliveries:
    • Naming example: sh010_v001 (shot + version)
    • All mattes must be delivered in the same folder as the corresponding shot
    • Deliver VFX in native camera color space as ProRes 4444 XQ or ACEScg (linear) EXR sequences (AP0, DWAA compression)
  5. Grading in DaVinci Resolve Studio 20.3. If available, please provide a .drt or .drp.
  6. If a custom LUT was used on set, please provide it along with any color notes.
